Visit The Kato Paphos Archaeological Park
The Kato Paphos Archaeological Park is a great day out that all the family can enjoy. It’s interesting and educational and so well preserved, you really feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The Arena is actually still used for performances today, perhaps you can catch one? In addition there are four Roman villas and an underground burial chamber as well prehistoric structures.
Relax on the beaches
There’s so much to do in Paphos, it can leave you feeling exhausted visiting all the sights. So it’s important to schedule at least one day at the beach to relax and unwind. In Paphos you certainly have plenty of choice when it comes to beaches. In fact, there are 27 beaches to choose from, so if you want a lively beach with water sports, you’ve got it, if you want a quiet and secluded beach, there are plenty of those too!
Visit The Paphos Medieval Castle
The Medieval Castle near the harbour is the perfect place to go to cool down when the sun is at it’s hottest. It’s an interesting place to visit and also offers some amazing ocean views.
There’s some great diving to be had in Paphos, with calm waters that are nice and warm, whether you’re an expert diver, or it’s just something you’ve always wanted to try, you’ll find instructors available for whatever level you’re at.
See St Paul’s Pillar
St Paul’s Pillar is certainly something you just won’t find anywhere else and it’s of huge historic significance. This is the pillar that St Paul was tied to and lashed in 45AD. This is no reconstruction, this is actually the real pillar. Don’t forget to take a look at the mosaics here too, they’re very beautiful.
Take a Segway tour
With so much to see in Paphos, it can take a lot of time getting around all the sights. All that walking can also be tiring, especially when it’s hot, so a better way to see everything is to take a segway tour. It’s also way more fun than walking or taking a bus! You’ll be fully trained before you set off, but controlling a segway is easier than you think so why not give it a go?
